Parisian fashion, pretty much the Eiffel Tower for fashionistas worldwide, is a style so often sought-after that countless films and books have been spun off from the very idea of the Parisian culture and lifestyle.
It’s a city where the finest top-of-the-line luxury houses like Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Dior call home, and where French It-girls like Caroline de Maigret, Clémence Poésy and Emmanuelle Alt walk the streets. So naturally, Paris is the first city that comes to mind when I think of impeccable style.
The sartorial game on the streets outside the Fall/Winter 2015 shows at Paris Fashion Week saw a mix of romantic French charm, and simplistic, modern, effortless chic that so many French fashion editors have been styling themselves in the fashion week circuits.
Ukrainian fashion designer, Lilia Litkovskaya, leads the latter trend with her own sharp take of the Parisian attitude, dressing in a classic palette of black, white and blue, and of course, topping it off with a messy devil-may-care bedhead ponytail. I love it!
‘Effortless chic’ takes so much more time than you’d expect, but don’t worry – check out my Pinterest board for some serious Parisian style, and the bags you’ll need to steal these looks!
